Beta Privacy Policy
Effective September 11, 2026
ThrillGauge helps people estimate whether they may fit within restraint systems, ride vehicles, tubes, rafts, or other rider-containment systems at participating Orlando theme parks by comparing their measurements with ride reports submitted by riders with similar measurements. This Privacy Policy explains how Stephen Chittenden, a sole proprietor doing business as ThrillGauge (“ThrillGauge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and retains information during the ThrillGauge beta.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: email address, display name, account identifier, and authentication information. Passwords should be handled by our authentication provider and not stored by ThrillGauge in readable form.
- Body measurements: height, weight, chest circumference, waist circumference, hip circumference, calf circumference, and your imperial or metric display preference. Height and weight are required; the other measurements are optional but may improve comparisons.
- Ride reports: resort, park and ride selected; whether you fit; whether you used an alternate or expanded restraint, seat or position; comfort rating; measurements you believe prevented the restraint or ride system from fitting; and report date and time.
- Support and beta feedback: messages, screenshots, and other information you choose to send through TestFlight or a ThrillGauge support channel.
Information collected automatically
Depending on the production services enabled for the beta, ThrillGauge and its service providers may process basic technical information such as device type, operating-system version, app version, crash logs, diagnostics, approximate timestamps, and security or abuse-prevention logs. ThrillGauge does not need precise location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or payment information for its core service and should not request them unless this policy is updated before collection.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to create and secure your private account; store and display your measurement profile; provide an estimated fit-likelihood signal; distinguish standard from alternate or expanded restraints; improve the model and experience; investigate errors, fraud, abuse, and security incidents; respond to support requests; administer the beta; comply with law; and enforce our terms.
ThrillGauge does not use body measurements or ride reports to diagnose, treat, or assess any medical condition. Fit results are estimates, not guarantees or safety determinations. Posted requirements, test seats, scales, ride operators, and on-site restraint or rider-eligibility checks always control.
3. Crowdsourced Results and Automated Estimates
ThrillGauge uses an automated statistical process to compare your profile with reports from riders having similar measurements. A ride report may include the reporting rider’s body measurements and the measurement areas that the rider believed prevented a restraint from fitting. Those details may be used to improve future estimates when the model is configured and validated to do so.
Other users should receive only aggregated or de-identified results, such as a fit likelihood, uncertainty range, signal color, and count of comparable reports. ThrillGauge should not display another user’s name, email address, exact measurements, or individual ride-report history. Production results should suppress or broaden outputs when too few comparable reports exist.
Because crowdsourced reports may be incomplete, mistaken, biased, or affected by vehicle, restraint, tube or raft variation and operator procedures, you should not rely on ThrillGauge as a promise that you will be permitted or able to ride.
4. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to service providers that host data, authenticate users, deliver app functionality, monitor crashes, provide support, or help secure the service; to other users in aggregate or de-identified form; for legal and safety reasons; in a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards; or with your direction or consent.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. If those practices change, we will update this policy and obtain any consent required by law or platform rules.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account information, measurements, and ride reports while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the beta, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion through the in-app account deletion control or by emailing contact@thrillgauge.com.
When an account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with it within a reasonable period, subject to legal obligations, fraud-prevention needs, and ordinary backup cycles. We may retain statistics that have been irreversibly aggregated or de-identified.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Production deployment should include encrypted connections, access controls, least-privilege database rules, credential protection, logging, backups, and vulnerability management. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can edit your measurements, choose imperial or metric display units, decline optional measurements, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to appeal or complain to a regulator. To make a request, email contact@thrillgauge.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.
8. Children
The ThrillGauge beta is intended only for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
9. International Processing
ThrillGauge and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as ThrillGauge evolves. We will post the revised policy, change the effective date, and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
11. Contact
